Fabric needed help for the suits?
I'm new to sewing all with only a few items from scratch, but I'm wanting to do costumes to dress my children, I have the schematics, but I am confused as to what really material need. I had a cheerleader and say I need cotton or polyester twill Waterproof lightweight poplin point or two, but do not know if they should be stretched or not? Also make a batman type cottume need 2-way stretch cotton and lycra. I'm confused about what we really need, because there are so many fabrics! Any advice would be great x
The envelope model shows if the elastic tissue is necessary. It is not considered a guide printed on the envelope to test the elastic tissue. Cheerleader tissues should not be a stretch fabric. Batman, however, has to stretch all they can get – look for fabric that stretches up and down and across;. Lycra or swimsuit. Ask the sales associate for assistance.
