What happened between batman and the justice league?
In the wikipedia article for Batman Beyond, it says that “It is implied by virtue of his lengthy career as Batman, and his retaining the Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl costumes, that a tragic occurrence had transpired that caused Bruce to sever his ties with the Justice League and forbid his allies to assume their alter-egos (the events which caused all of this are revealed in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker). ” Could anyone please tell me what this “occurrence” was?
Several of the JL members decided to mind-wipe and reprogram one of the super-villians. Batman walked in on them and they knew he’d object and try to prevent their decision, so Zatana made him forget about the whole incident.
Batman (of course) later discovered what had happened and no longer trusted nor respected the league.
